Adam has been photographing New York City since moving there in 2002, focusing on nighttime cityscapes using black and white film. He chose his subject because Manhattan is quieter and more subdued late at night, making it more interesting photographically because it doesn’t fit into the common perception of bustling city life. In a city known for its shared experience, late-night hours deliver moments that remain exclusively our own.
