Licensing

How does your licensing work?
All images on Offset are royalty-free, complete with global usage rights and unlimited distribution. Detailed information can be found on our licensing page.
Does Offset offer watermark-free comp images?
Offset does not currently offer watermark-free comp images for standard accounts. If you are interested in watermark-free comps, we would be happy to discuss our corporate account options with you at sales@offset.com.
Which image size best fits my needs?
We have aimed to provide the most straightforward pricing and image sizing to streamline your workflow.
  • Small / 72 dpi
    This size is most commonly used for digital/online use such as blogs, websites, banner ads, and social media (but these are just suggestions. You can use them for anything you like that does not require a high-resolution).
  • Large / 300 dpi
    Your best bet! This size works across multiple media and is suitable for just about any kind of printed material (plus, it covers all digital use as well). This is perfect for any cross-channel campaign use.
What does it mean if an image is marked “Editorial use only”?
An image that is marked “Editorial use only” is not permitted for commercial or promotional use. Mediums where it can be used include newspapers, news broadcasts, and other non-commercial applications. If you have any specific questions, you can always email us at support@offset.com. Do I have to provide credit/attribution if I am using an image for an advertisement?
Images being used commercially or for promotional purposes do not require credit or attribution to the artist (i.e. brochure, website, advertisement, etc.). If you are using an image for Editorial use, you should credit as: Image Copyright Name of Artist / Offset.com. Payment & pricing

How does payment work?
You can purchase any image on Offset, on demand, with a credit card – no subscription necessary. Your credit card will be charged at the time of your purchase (rather than when you download/use an image), and you will be emailed a receipt. Should you need invoicing or other payment methods, please contact us to discuss our corporate account options at sales@offset.com. If you are interested in purchasing multiple images at once, we offer image packs, where you receive discounts per image.
What is included in an image pack?
Pre-paid image packs offer special discounts on every image, since you are buying in bulk. You can use your pack to download any image from our entire collection in the size (Small or Large) you have purchased, for up to one year.
I’m interested in buying an image exclusively. How can I do that?
Exclusivity is available with our entire collection, during which you would own exclusive rights to using that image(s) for the agreed upon period of time. We typically offer exclusivity in increments of one year, two years, or more. To start the conversation about exclusive pricing for a particular image or set of images, please contact us at sales@offset.com.
Can I re-download images I have purchased?
Once you have purchased an image, you may re-download it at any time, free of any additional costs. You can find all past purchases in your purchase history.
Can I use my Shutterstock subscription on Offset?
Standard Shutterstock plans and subscriptions may not be applied to any purchase on Offset. You can only use a credit card. Should you need invoicing or other payment methods, please contact us to discuss our corporate account options at sales@offset.com. If you are interested in purchasing multiple images at once, we offer image packs, where you can pre-pay and receive discounts per image.
Can I upgrade or exchange an image?
Because this is a digital file, there is not a way to ‘exchange’ it for another image or a different size once you license the image. You can always contact support@offset.com if you have any questions.
Do you offer corporate pricing?
Yes! As part of Shutterstock, we have a corporate account option called Shutterstock Premier which offers benefits like invoicing, watermark-free comps, image research (and more). Pricing may vary; please contact sales@offset.com for more detailed information.
